Aberlour provides the essential services for a wide rural area. There is a cash machine (ATMs), a saddlers shop with ironmongery, a petrol station, a garage to repair / service your car, a newsagent with post office, a veterinary practice, a whisky shop, a butcher, a fishing tackle shop with framers and small co-op supermarket open until 10pm every evening. The medical services are excellent, with a small hospital with a minor injuries unit (Nurse led with support from the GPs) and medical centre and a pharmacy. There is a Church of Scotland, Episcopal and Catholic churches in the village.

Speyside Leg Club This is led by the district nurses. It is held in the Masonic Hall (on the High Street near Frank Ogg’s Garage) every Tuesday from 1.30pm to 3.30pm. No appointment is needed, it is very relaxed and you may even get a cup of tea! They can give advice on and treat many leg and foot conditions, including swollen ankles, varicose veins, ulcers and dry itchy skin.
